One of the UK's musical treasures is Bryn Haworth. It is now 32 years since his first release 'Let The Days Go By' and 'Keep The Faith' is a welcome return to the recording studio after recent poor health. If you are looking for new innovative music, then this will not be for you. This CD is all about the blues with a touch of rock and roll. Trademark Bryn Haworth. A return to recording and to these ears a real return to form. On the opening title track I defy your feet not to tap as Bryn motors along, singing apparently about his love for listening to the radio in the 1950s but with a subliminal message about listening to God (faith comes by hearing). "I'm In Love With You" is a great piece of blues music, showing that Bryn is quite happy to sing songs about his wife as well as the "spiritual" songs. Great blues guitar work. "Wash Me Clean", a Maggi Dawn song, moves gently along before providing a beautiful showcase for Bryn's excellence on the slide guitar - so much his forte. "Psalm 40" gets the blues treatment. And there's beautiful worship too on "Wings Of The Wind". At first I think "Satisfied" is another love song - well it is - but it's about Jesus' love for the church. Each track is a gem in its own way. Bryn is one of those people often described as a musician's musician. The playing, backed by his usual band, is impeccable. Haworth proves again that the blues doesn't have to be sad. Play it loud!

A great new collection of songs which all have some reflection of previous albums from Bryn and yet still sound sound fresh.

A range of sounds and styles but all with the unmistakable imprint of Bryn.

Another exceptional album!

Keep the Faith - like so many of Bryns classic albums - great for playing to the non believer. If you cant get to one of his concerts play this for them. From the prayerful Wings Of The Wind to the rocking rythmic One Good Woman. Wonderful slide guitar great band and, as always, faith filled lyrics. Super stuff

Thanks again Bryn

Haworth’s renaissance continues across a range of styles, where his blues are strongest.

The brightest highlight is a superb version of Maggi Dawn’s Wash Me Clean, which lets a variety of guitar colours wash over a canvas of acoustic blues. The track is only 7 minutes long – you may wish it lasted all day.

Overall this resembles the production quality and styles of Let The Days Go By and Sunny Side Of The Street, down to an instrumental from the same stable as Anywhere You Want To Be. Recommended.
