An exciting concert by the fine choir of Christian Life Centre, Stockton, California. Powerful sound, quite "black" considering the preponderance of palefaces. Watching the 76:29 long session does however produce a growing awareness that this style of Californian slickness and close up sincerity doesn't always travel well. The songs are little more than simple, chorus-type ditties and many UK viewers would cringe at some of the American evangelical triteness on display. Having got that out of the way it's a concert high on energy, with some effective soloists, visually on the ball and well produced. The powerful music produces all kinds of audience reaction, that I would be reserved about calling the Holy Spirit's doing. See what you think.
