CYU stands for Celebrate Your Uniqueness in Christ, and I must say that I'm on totally new territory here as I've never reviewed anything Messianic before. Essentially, this is acoustic, and actually pretty enjoyable stuff too. Lead vocalist Destiny can certainly sing and has an engaging personality - as the spoken intros here and there demonstrate. I'm not sure if this CD is typical of all Messianic fare, but it definitely got my attention, although it did start to grate after a whole album's worth, although there's nothing quite as stirring as the sound of the shofar on "The Oath Of Yesterday". Interesting.
