Calling Glory are a four piece outfit from Athens, Tennessee in the mould of Leeland and Mercy Me who play upbeat pop rock, worship music. From the opening bars of "Just A Little While" you are drawn in by Dana Potyn's ethereal vocals that at times bear a resemblance to Dan Haseltine of Jars Of Clay and hooked by the layered vocals of the first chorus. Production is first rate, showing off the expansive sound of this talented quartet who have certainly aimed the four tracks on this EP for radio play. After a couple of listens you find yourself singing along to some solid tunes. Lyrically, Calling Glory offer positive, uplifting worship songs that will appeal to a young audience without being superficial. A personal favourite is "Even When I'm Not" where the band reflect on God's faithfulness despite our lack of faith in him. The sound of this new group, whilst not ground breaking, is polished and enjoyable. With this as a taster, their first full release will definitely be one to look out for. But, in the meantime, this is well worth searching out.

I agree with your thoughts on Calling Glory. They are great guys with a great sound, but even more, a great message.
