This is Carola's first gospel album, although she is a very accomplished artist in her own right. She had major success with her previous album which sold over one million copies in her native Sweden. In 1991 she also won the Eurovision Song Contest (unlike Norway's usual nil point!). 'My Tribute' is an uplifting album and a real toe-tapper. Obviously, this is Carola's way of giving the glory to God for her talents and for her success. I especially enjoyed "Save The Children" and "Hold On". On the production side, I must say that I found it rather uninspiring: I felt that it was overtreated and lacked depth - a lot of messing with the treble to bring it down to a comfortable level (and that was with dolby). But all that aside, an enjoyable album with a good message.
