She takes a great pic and has a gorgeous voice - but there's much more to this Florida-born singer/songwriter. With a Bachelor's Degree in Theology and past involvement in a number of ministries, her faith is of utmost importance to her. Such commitment is stamped on every song on this full-bodied, diverse-sounding pop disc, expertly produced, mixed, etc by Brian Hardin, who also plays keyboards, drums and a host of other "sonic delicacies". Hardin also co-wrote six of these 10 tracks, Miss Pettit receiving the rest of the writing credit. 'Dream On' represents Carrie's life over the past five years and consists of catchy pop tunes with a few more inspirational pieces, all with non-cliched lyrics. "Life Of Faith", for example, is a thought-provoking devotional duet; the chorus to "I Want To Be Holy" makes for a powerful slice of worship. And the climactic "I Surrender" - well, it speaks potently for itself, summarising what's most compelling throughout this album - that sense of total abandonment to God. May it have lasting effect on this reviewer and everyone else who hears her.

Awesome! Went to Carrie's coming
out concert because I've heard Dream On played on the radio and liked it.
After buying the CD I can't stop playing it. All of her songs are fantastic. I think
there are at least 5 songs better than Dream On. She we'll be very successful and I wish her all the best. Can't wait for next CD.
