The Chillout series of albums concocted by Chris Norton's CN Productions may not have pleased club culture devotees looking for a genuine Christian alternative to the mainstream's chillout sounds, but they've found an appropriate niche among believers of all ages who just want restful, largely instrumental music to relax to. This features some tasty programming with an engaging shuffling rhythm on "We Three Kings" while "Joy To The World" with a billowing jazzy arrangement and a lady's vocal (not sure whether it's Wendy Green, Emily Norton or Ingrid DuMosch) is pleasant too. Other well known Yuletide songs like "The First Nowell", "Good King Wenceslas" and "O Little Town Of Bethlehem" are also inventively arranged. All in all, this is just the kind of album you'd want to slip on the stereo once you've had one too many mince pie or TV movie blockbuster.
