There was a time when perusing your local Christian bookshop for books covering the area of worship (looking enviously at the over subscribed sections on counselling, outreach, prophecy, etc - even the comedy section was bigger!), you were hard pressed to have any level of choice. Recently there has been a plethora of excellent books on the subject. This book may already be familiar to you if, like me, you gravitate to the dark corner of the bookshop where such books are made available. It is a reprint. I was able to approach this book with some foreknowledge. I must say that it was everything I expected of it, a well informed guide to the mechanics of worship based largely upon personal experience. It is a very good resource book for your church worship group - with its adopt and adapt approach, but this is where many publications on this subject falter as they are only passed around and read by the worship group. This book needs to get into the hands of those who regard themselves as a worshipper (ie, everyone), particularly those in church leadership (can the notices be anointed?).
