This is the first full album release from a young Florida singer/songwriter and not the Chris Taylor who made solo albums after fronting Love Coma. This Taylor has toured with hard rockers Kutless, which musically gives you absolutely no idea of what is on offer here. The artist has been heavily influenced by Matt Redman, since he travelled to Soul Survivor in the UK as a young worship leader. Lyrically, that explains a lot as the set of songs here are God-centred and worshipful and though he cites musical influences from Paul Simon to Radiohead most will find it Brit-style pop rock worship. From the opening hypnotic keyboard intro to "Turn Me Around" and the gentle, occasionally almost whispered vocals, the songs here are wistful and often very introspective musically. It washes over you and when you think it's gone, you realise it's left its mark on your heart and spirit. Songs like the string laden anthem "Symphony" and comparatively uptempo guitar radio single "Take Me Anywhere" demonstrate a songwriting pedigree which promises greater things in the future.
