American worship leader Christa Shore returns with a new album, a follow up to 'Beauty For Ashes' which received a nine square rating in Cross Rhythms. Christa has a way of telling a story in her songs that draws you in and she is obviously a gifted songwriter. This is displayed in the catchy title song - an encouragement to "take hold of Jesus, just believe and you will dance into eternity." Whether Christa is singing a gentle acoustic song such as "Rest Here" or rocking out on the gutsy "Let It Rise", she pulls it off with style. It is evident that the ministry aspect of the music is central to Christa and her band Beyond The Veil. It is refreshing to hear such passion and total surrender to the Lord. Having reviewed the CD I would be eager to hear Christa and band live in concert as I am sure their passion for ministry would be even more evident. Overall a very refreshing and encouraging CD.
