Messianic worship leader and songwriter Chuck King directs the musical activities of the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem and this includes leading worship for one of Israel's largest Christian congregations and touring all over the world. This, his latest offering, is a collection of songs for worship penned by Chuck himself. There is a an overwhelming middle-eastern sound to the music with swathes of strings, choral arrangements and strongly rhythmic percussion, all of which make for a pleasant change to the staple guitar pop of western worship music. Unfortunately this rich middle-eastern sound at times gives way to rather pedestrian middle-of-the-road soft pop as on "Robes Of Righteousness" which is not dissimilar to an '80s Graham Kendrick song! For most of the album though, such as on epic opener "Sh'ma Yisrael" and the hauntingly beautiful "I Will Go Up", Chuck King gets it right with a healthy cross over of East meets West. Lyrically the album contains strong biblical imagery, especially around the nation of Israel and its relationship to God.

Where may we purchase the sheet music for choir and soloists?

Where I can find the lyrics of Sh'ma Yisrael? I bought this music as mp3, but I can't find the lyrics.

I just wanted to make objection that 'Robes of righteousness' (ROR) is somehow like a Graham Kendrick song ... actually, Graham was a pretty good composer, so its not really an insult anyhow, but I think the suggestion is that ROR is similar to 'Shine Jesus Shine' (SJS) ....

ROR is in 3/4 - SJS isn't. ROR moves to the IV (dominant) in the chorus - SJS doesn't. ROR inspires me to sing - SJS doesn't. Lyrically, there is no similarity at all.

But they are both great composers - to God be the glory.

Chuck is an annointed music minister with a gifted ear for everything Messianic. His melodies capture the heartsong of Jesus for all generations. I also know him personally as a friend and have worked with him in Jerusalem with the International Christian Embassy's celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles as a musician. He adapts scripture and scripture stories to song in a unique and prophetic way.

I so can recommend Chuck's music! Whenever I am looking for a present for family and friends here or back home in Germany I think of his CDs. They give you a rich taste of Israel, G-d's love for His people and for us. Many songs are just pure worship and full of intimacy before the Lord. I love it. Thanks Chuck and keep going with your annointing!! It's a pleasure working for you too.

I love the comments, maybe especially because I see so many names that I know. So many of us have sung with Chuck at the ICEJ's Feast of Tabernacles!
Chuck, this album is great. Thanks for putting some good music out there for the world to know that worship in Jerusalem is live, fresh and wonderful.

WOW! Listen to the letter I got:
"Each day Steve would put on Chuck's CD and spend time in the presence of the Lord, while listening to the music. One song which ministered to him in particular was "I touched the hem of His garment". When the time came for Steve to go into hospital for a biopsy, the doc could find no trace of cancer. Thank you, Lord.
We are now playing that track to others who are ill, and whom we are praying for. As Steve said, there is a strong anointing on it, and we believe many will be touched and healed through it."

In my eyes as a fellow singer/ songwriter this is a 10!
It don't get no better than this folks! Do ourself a favor and buy everyone on your list one of these CD's for the holidays! It is "creativity" straight from the throne room!
Shalom... one day I'll visit you all in Jerusalem!

As a actor, I often see--as wll as hear--the dramatic stories told within Chuck's creative, fresh and intelligently written songs. (I am also aware of his unique ability to write gifted, short plays...so--I am plesantly surprised to see this aspect come forth in his music.)

Chuck King sings and writes "sound pictures." As a moment artist and choreographer, it has been a creative delight to bring artistic interpretation to his beautiful lyrics.
