He's the pastor of a growing, 6,000 member church in Orlando, Florida. He's authored three books and co-authored another. But he's best known for his musical abilities - having penned literally hundreds of praise and worships tunes and recorded a plethora of solo worship discs, many from his own state-of-the-art Tribe Studios. His musical style varies from upbeat funky gospel to deep, inspirational soul, and his unique, husky voice certainly has a strong appeal. But I guess when you've written as many songs as this guy (250 !), then it's not gonna be too easy to come up with anything truly original - which might help explain why the most interesting lyrics here are found on a tune composed by other than Brown ("Stand Still"). Friends of Clint help out with other compositions too - most notably producer and multi-instrumentalist Aaron Pearce. In summary, while, the smoothness of sound and Brown's fine vocals do make for an enjoyable listen, there really isn't much here to get over excited about.
