Colin is the Australian Church's most popular children's communicator and this, the latest in a string of albums and DVDs, shows that he's still brimming over with creative energy and evangelistic zeal. 'Fam Bam Bible Jam' is based around the concept of a radio show and also features Nudge the puppet. Between them, they present a collection of songs that are both catchy and loaded with teaching. The humour that features in spoof advertising, sponsors, reference to modern technology and general interaction between Colin and Nudge will appeal to both adults and children alike. Underlying this, there are songs focusing on Bible verses in both New and Old Testament and also interviews with Bible teachers and missionaries ("Eat The Missionaries"). Although some tracks on the album won't stand up to repeated listening, there is plenty here that will entertain during numerous car journeys, and is a welcome break from some of the less creative children's releases out there.
