California-based Craig brings us an enthusiastic scattering of songs that reveal a great talent for playing guitar. A variety of solos and rhythm work signify a proficient musician and provide competent backing for some agreeable compositions. From start to finish we are subject to some decidedly feel good Transatlantic radio play touching on a range of mid-'80s influences. In "Small Still Voice" (which reminds us of Tom Petty's jangling guitars) we are presented with the brightest, most infectious tune. But mostly the album is depicted by some crunching, power chord rock reminiscent perhaps of ZZ Top (as . characterised in the title track). With some soulful Hammond organ also on "I'm Not Alone", the album culminates in the grandiose piano ballad "Give Me A Chance". This CD pleasantly bounces from track to track always maintaining a mood that is enjoyable. So, if you are in need of some well played, encouraging Californian songs 'Whatcha Gonna Do?'
