Reviewed by Dave Brassington These are not new recordings but a re-issue of a 1998 album. This obviously indicates that there is a revival of Cristy Lane’s music, certainly as far as the States are concerned. In the UK, she is virtually unknown. What I do find strange about this album is that with a title of ‘Children’s Songs And Lullabies’, there are in fact only three or four tracks out of the 10 which come into this category, ie, “Jesus Loves Me”, “One, Two, Three, He Loves Me”. The rest of the tracks are traditional hymns, eg, “Just A Closer Walk”, “I Love To Tell The Story”. Musically, it is middle of the road, easy on the ear music, which for me just doesn’t stand apart from many similar albums.

I would like to purchase a CD with these exact 10 songs sung by Cristy Lane. I have the cassette but cannot find a CD. Can you give me an answer on this?
Thank you very much
