Cristy is one of those singers you either love or hate. Fans of this sort of Deep South inspirational music and MOR country stylings will no doubt enjoy Cristy's way with a hymn and a ballad. Others not so inclined will simply find the tracks here overbearingly cheesy. I'm trying to steer a middle course, but my main problem is the title of the album - there's very little passion, but lots of sweeping strings and rather wobbly vocals that make it not a very satisfying listening experience. Cristy's website declares that she has the most beautiful voice in music - perhaps at one time in the past, that was true, but sadly that era has passed. Disappointing.
