I have liked Crystal Lewis since 1987 when I heard the band Wild Blue Yonder featuring her remarkable voice. Since then her voice has matured and just got better. This is an album of great music and superb vocals. This is R&B-tinged pop music to be reckoned with. Production is by Brian Ray (her husband) with some additional production by Kirk Franklin on some of the vocal tracks, Crystal's voice is rich and clear and brings meaningful expression to lyrics that are plainly born of experience in her Christian life. The title track "Fearless" is based on 2 Timothy 1:7 (check it out in your Bible). The album is strong from the opening "I Still Believe" to the closing "My Friend". This is music that stands unashamedly up against anything the mainstream charts have to offer - and comes out unbowed. I love Crystal Lewis' music and this album does nothing lo diminish that. A very good offering.
