I can't quite get my head around this CD. DFG are three guys with a penchant for acoustic songs commenting on the world around them with intelligence. But then there is a major anti-American rant - or rather a railing against that kind of red-necked America, then there is an ambient soundscape marked as a response to the 7/7 terror attacks. Then there is a song asking for Nelson Mandela to be freed - eh? Am I messing something? Then there is a collection of various people making a plea for justice from around the world which got quite a platform at last year's Greenbelt. Interesting, artful, eclectic - those are the words I'd use. Any good to listen to? In part.
