What goes around comes around. Country music has in recent years been given new street cred, as people ike Steve Earle and Nancy Griffith have brought what has been deemed 'New Country' to today's genera-Son. Dallas Holm who has, of course, been in CCM fcr donkeys' years and done lots of styles MOR, rock-gospel, even, way back, Elvis pastiches, here returns to his country-boy roots and here revels in new country gospel. Catchy tunes with storylines, rather than simply lyrics, reflect on the old traditions of country gospel, but Roscoe Meek's jangly guitars and some well-planned keyboard work brings the whole thing bang into the 90s. An impressive BV lineup (4 Him, Steven Curtis Chapman and Geoff Moore) along with Holm's rich vocals deliver a first class country gospel offering. A must for fans of the genre
