This album has got a bit of recognition, a track from it "Everybody Hurtin" being selected as one of the top 12 songs in the One Of A Kind songwriting contest, and earned him a nomination at the MusicNL awards. (Okay, so I don't know what they are either, but it sounds impressive.) The first thing that greets you when you listen is Dan's voice - gentle, pure and inviting, the perfect means of delivery of 14 deftly crafted self-penned songs. Present here is a mixture of styles ranging from jazz, folk, acoustic rock and through to blues. This youth pastor from Newfoundland also has a talent in writing encouraging songs such as the title track, "Wounded" and "Struggling". Other standouts, with their bluesy feel, were the aforementioned "Everybody Hurtin'" and "Create In Me". This is simply outstanding and deserves to be sought out.
