I can't remember the last time a CD captured me like this one has! Daniel Kirkley has a pure and powerful voice. 'Let Love Win', his debut album, has the hallmark of classic etched to its core. Master producers Mark Hammond (Nichole Nordeman, Josh Groban) and Matt Bronleewe (Chris Tomlin, Michael W Smith) capture a full and crystal clear sound. Commanding symphonic tracks are interwoven with driving pop and rock riffs. "My New Dawn", Daniel's first single, "Everyday People" and "Unrepeatable" are cleverly woven with complexity, yet simplistic in their melodies and catching choruses. Comparisons to Josh Groban are evident but enjoy the richness and purity of Daniel's voice for who he is, as this man will surely be known in his own right. To name a track that stands out is extremely difficult as each one is so perfectly crafted, but "Lay It Down", with lyrics descriptive of coming to the end of yourself, talk of surrender and knowing that in Christ, we have a hope and future. The truth rings out as Daniel sings, "My best laid plans are safe and secure when I place them in your hands." Writing credits include Cindy Morgan, Chris Eaton, Mark Hammond and Matt Bronleewe with Daniel having co written many of the songs. You can be sure this is one CD that I won't be laying down for some time.
