With 'Personal Peace', Kansas-based Darrell North mixes styles found in pop, rock and country music and has written songs and lyrics with the intention of drawing the listener closer to God. His songs are guitar-based and generally use synthesized background music to provide accompaniment. Unfortunately, the overall sound is dated and, in places, unprofessional. Most of the songs lack imagination, and are sometimes too cheesy to bear (for example, "Remember Me", with the chorus of children badly singing "Jesus loves me"). There are some glimmers of potential, such as "Angels Cry", but they are shadowed by the remainder. While the music will still appeal to some, it is light years behind the rest of the modern music scene.

The album was written not to be complicated and for fans
that attend my concerts. "Remember Me" was done with
children who have no experiences in life to keep it real and
honest. The youngest singer was three (3). For young
children, not being able to stay on pitch can sometimes be
pure and precious. The main themes of the songs,
personified by lyrics, hopefully are easily understandable
by any listener. Helping people to take advantage of God's
blessings is what it's all about. I chuckle when I say this
because I understand today's music, those of us over 50,
still like some of the old arrangement styles. I thank you
for your comments. God Bless Cross Rhythms and their staff.
Thank you.......Darrell

Thanks for your comments, and I hope that your album will
reach all the right people. Music is such a personal thing
that it can sound so different to two different people, so I
wish you all the best!
