This seven-song mini-album from Arkansas-born singer/songwriter Dave Pittman gets off to a purposeful start with the title track telling of God's superior love in hopeful and accessible fashion before numbers like "I'd Rather Have Jesus" and "Worthy" continue in a similar vein. Reflecting his stint as a contestant on American Idol, Pittman has one of those perfect pop voices which suits his middle ground musical approach - masterminded by producers Jay Speight and Tyrus Morgan - to a tee and, whilst things never get too adventurous artistically, there's no denying that this is a polished affair. Whilst the majority of this release focuses on giving vertical praise to God, the ultimately uplifting "Fight To Win" tells of Pittman and his wife's marital battles in relatively candid fashion and provides a bit of depth to the man's output.
