Ten seconds into track one had me scrambling to try and ascertain whether they'd put the wrong cassette in the wrong box. But no... the driving pop-dance beat opener IS by Dave Rhys Jenkins despite a standing-on-a-cliff-looking-out-to-sea sleeve suggesting meditative acoustics. Aha, here is the inlay explanation for all that pumping dance beat throb - "keyboards and programming by Zarc Porter". Many Cross Rhythms readers will be familiar with the studio genius behind many a Worldwide Message Tribe call to dance. 'But what of Mr Jenkins' contribution?' I hear you ask. Well, he's an excellent songwriter with some well crafted melodic ideas, a so-so lyricist (obvious rhymes and well-worn images and spiritual insights) and a barely adequate singer. Ironically, despite the cracking dance rhythms it's the slow piano-led ballad "Show Me Love" which works best.
