David Gate is a young man who originally comes from Harrow ,which is in London. However since 2003 he has been residing in Belfast. This CD is a follow up to his 2001 release 'Redemption' mini-album. With a sound hinting at influences such as The Manic Street Preachers, U2 and Coldplay, we have a full on worship album that is also an aesthetically pleasing experience. According to information received, "David's songs have a strong emphasis on intimacy with God and a lifestyle of holiness." Well, on those lines the man doesn't fail to deliver. On tracks like "Extravagant ,Magnificent", "Killing Hill" and the beautiful "Hands On The Cross" which feature the vocal talents of guest artist Cathy Burton we have songs which speak of the Christian message of the love of God and sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. While elsewhere we have a song like "Led To The Lost" where David prays, "So change my heart that I may love/My neighbour as my brother/And to live a life of love." Since his introduction to recording on those Soul Survivor People's Albums David has developed to become a top rate exponent of modern worship. Well worth checking out.
