David's debut released in May of 1976 is your typical
gospel recording as many CCM artists initially start out.
There is usually no song labeled as "stand out" or "big
hit"; but one song stands above the rest.
You got it" JESUS" superbly written and performed, but 1982
version on Front Row live made it's real claim to fame in
CCM. This album is a true testimony of David, and his
sincere vocals project with each song. I wait for the day
that his self penned "Come
Home America" is revisited and heard; great lyrics.
David's talented octave range was not heard until
his 3rd album came along. It's nice having this
classic album, God Bless, Don
