This, David's 3rd recording for myrrh label released in
early 1979 really brings him into CCM sound mode.
Very different in style from his first 2 initial albums.
One of my favorite 70's classics of CCM artists that I
love. Very pop 70's style and sound, the first song on
side 1 is all the proof you need. " I Can't Believe it's
True" is a great song, it epitomizes David's vocal talent so
well;very close to Barry Gibb of BeeGees. And of course the
gem of songs is "Never Gonna Serve Anyone Else but You";
expresses David's many
octaves. The title song is quite a stand out ; great
bgvs supplied by Gary Pigg a name associated with
CCM artists such as the well known Amy Grant.
"All the Time" is such a great ballad, performed very
superbly on 1982 Front Row live; I prefer the 1978
version, bgvs are exceptional. Years before CCM
listeners heard Sandi Patti's "Cradle Song", David
introduced his own lullaby "He'll Take Care of You"
which closes the album. God Bless, Don
It's been many years since we heard from David, anyone have
updated info?
