David Meece, despite considerable CCM popularity Stateside, has never built up much of a following in the UK partly because he's never visited these shores and partly because he's tended to be a bit of a musical chameleon, switching styles from album to album. This retrospective-with-new-track-added chronicles his musical journey and largely focuses on plaintive ballads and numbers based on classical pieces.

This is a nice collection of David's most popular and well
loved songs throughout his ccm career. I luv the remix for
song "Early in the Morning" from 1993. The 1983 song "And
you know its Right" was the first song that I ever heard by
him on ccm radio. I have a lot of his vinyl and cd also. I
was kind a hoping to see a few earlier cuts like "Follow
Me..." from 1977, the multi voice range of "Never Gonna
Serve Anyone Else but You" from 1982 live; however "Never
Gonna Serve..." was on the 2007 cd release "Definitive
Collection"; I don't know why it is not on his list here of
recordings. I was glad to see "We are the Reason" from
1980. I luv "Falling Down"; there is also one new song on
this cd, "GOD' Promises..." which is the first cut on cd.
GOD Bless! -Don
