David is a singer, songwriter, musician and worship leader hailing from Colorado. This collection of four songs features the much loved hymn "Come Thou Font Of Every Blessing" and a new setting of another evergreen "Take My Life" with an added Ruybalid chorus. The latter, together with David's original material, demonstrate the songsmith's gift in writing hooky worship songs which almost (but not quite) strike out from the morass of stereotypical modern worship songs to plough a new and individual furrow. He has a strong, rocky voice that has a good range and can convey emotion, and there are a number of interesting and unexpected musical surprises during the 13 minutes of play time. The musical accompaniment is predominantly keyboard with secondary guitar, with always a strong drum beat. Pick of the tracks is "Where I Fell" but in truth one feels the best of David Ruybalid is still to come.

All I can say is, "Wow!". The production quality, and
artistry in music and lyrics is a step above most of the
independant music coming out these days. I too look forward
to, "...(what) is to come." from mister David Ruybalid.
