'Wall To Wall' is an independent release from the Birmingham-based artist who has played alongside Steve Gibbons in the '60s and was part of ELO in the early '80s, providing background vocals on the album 'Secret Messages' (1983). He has also been involved with numerous other projects and albums. This collection provides a vehicle for some of his Christian themed songs, including the "The Jeremiah Tree" that made its original debut on his 1998 album 'Call'. It remains an engaging listen full of imagery. The overall sound of the collection is closer to Tom Petty or Bob Dylan's late '70s output rather than ELO however. Blues for example features large on tracks such as "Numbers 23" and "No One Else". I also enjoyed his version of "Abide With Me" demonstrating great guitar playing. This is an intriguing listen with some treasures contained within.
