Debbie's last three solo CDs were recorded and produced by Connor and the two have collaborated as songwriters and performers for years. This album contains 12 well crafted songs full of passion for the Father, and craving a closer relationship with our Saviour. Themes covered include holding up hope in a troubled world ("Come On"), working through the implications of relationship with the eternal in this fallen world ("I Believe"), and celebrating life as an invitation from our Creator ("Risen King" - a real favourite of mine with its simplicity of tune and strength of message). The two share vocal duties. I liked the mix, it worked well, but what stood out for me were the inspired lyrics - well worth pouring over. I have tried to take a phrase or two to set out here, but that wouldn't do them justice as messages which unfold from track to track. They speak of the gritty reality of the day to day, something no doubt emanating from Milligan's past of pain and abuse, and the hope we have in Christ Jesus.
