This new independent release comes from a Torquay-based theology student Debbie Starling, whose lyrics deliver an encouraging message of hope. Overall the listening experience would be best described as gentle with a voice that reminds me of Marilyn Baker at times, although on occasions there is a nod to a livelier sound before returning to safer ground such as on the title track and "Flying Free". The album's strength is in the songwriting and the ability to grow on you after a few listens. I should also mention the album's artwork, which is very striking and grabs the attention. A good CD, but it will have to be listened to a number of times to enjoy it fully.
