Mmmhh, this one sounds promising, I thought as I put it on for the first time. I called my wife, (she's a bit harder to please than I am). "What do you think about this? It sounds a bit like Alanis Morissette doesn't it?" She wasn't so sure, but I still think it does. Deborah's voice has a similar quality and the songs are a combination of quiet delicate bits and loud bits with a driving rhythm. Yes, some good songs and some very good songs. Most of it needs to be played LOUD...but there are some great ballads here as well. (My favourite track was "My Wall"). The songs are mostly about the ups and downs of the life of faith - freedom, forgiveness, discipleship, worship - and on the whole, the songs are good and the musicianship is good. Only one reservation - at times I thought the drums lost it a bit. If you like female vocalists, and you like your music quite heavy, you may want to search this out.
