I first saw Birmingham-based gospel singer Dee Moore when she sang last year at the Roots & Branches festival in Dudley. This single release is a welcome development as her solo ministry takes off. She's spent a number of years singing in choirs and gaining experience, and it's paid off, as these three songs (plus three re-mixes of the title cut) prove that she's a self-assured singer. She's able to hold her own on a ballad like "Reaching Out To You" as well as stretch it a bit into the dance and drum'n'bass remixes of the title cut. "Let Go And Let God" has an effective understated groove and a powerful message of healing. The remixes of (the title cut take Dee away from her gospel roots into R&B and dance territory but with intelligent work like this, her voice is well suited and the song works well in every format. Personally, I prefer the extended D&B and club mixes best. Vibey!
