Some smooth reggae from Denzil Dennis who has been blessed with a lilting voice that wanders through these songs always sounding relaxed and in control, though sometimes it sounds more like he's heading into easy listening territory! Ease of expression aside, these songs bounce with an understated gospel reggae feel and Denzii proves to be an effective songwriter. Occasional covers like "We Thank Thee" and the rather twee "People Get Ready" medley bring a new twist into some old songs. But mainly it is fresh material so something like "Jordan River" has a more gospelly feel with plenty of soulful backing whilst "I Must Have The Saviour With Me" features a guest appearance from Tony Rich. Overall, the album is a well recorded set of lovers-style reggae gospel cuts but doesn't set my soul on fire.
