Des is the man behind Des Pilling Ministries based in Wigan and has previously issued a CD, 'King Of All Kings'. His second release contains 12 songs that fall strongly into the "middle of the road category," using a similar musical style to Len Magee, an artist popular in the seventies. Unfortunately, the CD feels it was recorded in that period and not in 2003 as stated on the cover! Lyrically, the songs show a strong worship leanings as shown in tracks as "Only You", "Hallelujah" and "You Are The One", but the weakest part of the recording is simply the musical presentation, which lacks any sparkle to keep the interest of the listener. The backing tracks demonstrate lack of imagination, although thankfully, the temptation of moving away from the simple uncluttered approach has been resisted, which does suit the style of song writing. The strongest song on the disc "Holy Holy Holy" shows what Des can do, as it offers memorable lyrics and something closer to an 'unprocessed' tune however, this is still a lacklustre CD.
