Established in 2001 in the youth worship ministry of New Life Church, Colorado, Desperation Band have been writing and recording worship music that has gone around the world. Headed up by Jon Egan, Desperation Band's latest album 'Banner' is a live recording made at Desperation Conference 2014 and features several other worship leaders that include: Jonathan Moos, Kari Jobe, Nico Perez Bri Giles and Gina Milne. The band hope that this album is one that will connect young people to the deeply rooted history that exists within the Church in a way that joins the past with the present and the future. With this in mind the album kicks off with "Future" which is an energetic song that encourages the worshipper to focus on Jesus and run into the future he has for them. The album sits comfortably within the anthemic worship genre, however there are a couple of tracks that break the mould and offer something a little different such as "Fun" which is a dance inspired pop track. The intensity of most of the songs is comfortably interrupted by moments of tenderness and intimacy by songs such as "Fall Into You" and "No One Else" whose lyrics are particularly striking: "No one else pulls life from the wreckage/No one else lifts me from under the waves/My God you've broken my fall." This is a great album that contains numerous singable songs I am sure we will be hearing in many churches in the coming months.

Product Description
Fresh off a Spring tour with Dare 2 Share Ministries, where they led over 20,000 high-school and college students in worship, Desperation Band have recorded a brand-new live worship project, Banner.
The recording took place at the July 2014 Desperation Conference, where 6,000 teenagers were in attendance, all passionately worshipping the living God and proclaiming that he alone is their banner (Jehovah-Nissi). This is a timeless truth that older generations will appreciate and emerging generations will desperately need to hear.
