It is hard to believe that this London-based young lady has achieved so much in her short career. Not only is she a rapper and performer, she is also founder of M.O.M. productions, a producer and a musician. Her undoubtedly frenetic schedule has not prevented Devotion from here releasing her debut EP. The album is upbeat and uplifting with positive lyrics rapped over a very current sound. The title track is a mid tempo encouraging project for the youth of today. One of the strongest cuts is "Positive People (Remix)". With its eclectic style including hip-hop and ragamuffin this song is surely destined to register on gospel soundsystems. At least two tracks on this album are sung over old songs. "He Knows" includes a beautiful voice singing over the backing track of U2's 1992 hit "One", which with the rapping is a welcome combination. The two step vibe of "I'm Renewed" is very catchy with Devotion sticking to her trademark lyrical flow which is truly inspiring.
