This offering is sub-titled 'Music To Accompany Your Time With God', and on offer is 70 minutes (eight tracks) basically of sustained synthesised chords with occasional piano embellishments. The overarching mood of this album which is mellow and is clearly designed to be an ambient backdrop for prayer and quiet times. It is part of the Devotional Rescue series of books and CDs from Hope City Church (founded in Sheffield) and all the music here is written by Ryan Gilpin. All of the tracks have titles, but in truth there is no link apparent between the track content and its designated title, and indeed there is little meaningful difference between the tracks themselves. In truth the album only really fulfils its purpose and comes into its own when it when you reach that place in your prayer or quiet time where you can forget that it is playing.
