The leader of the 50s/60s New York rock 'n' roll sensations Dion & The Belmonts never received due acclaim for some stunning Christian albums of the 70s/80s. This is his second secular comeback album and vastly superior to his last outing. Wonderful sounds, blending doowop, rock 'n' roll and one of creation's most soulful voices. Familiar songs include a superb acappella version of Springsteen's "If I Should Fall Behind", and the Nick Lowe/Dave Edmunds classic "I Knew The Bride When She Used To Rock & Roll". Oh, and a fine version of Dylan's "One Too Many Mornings". Some tip-top new Dion originals include "Higher Than Heaven", "Street Corner Saint" and "Guitar Queen", "The 90s Is The 60s Turned Upside Down" is a new gem from Marshal Chapman with a sharp lyric. Great songs, great voice, great rockin' band, what a great set this is!
