The Texas-based rock veterans spent the summer recording this album having raised twice their target with crowdfunding. This is the band's twelfth album and whilst recognisably Disciple, the band have managed to avoid falling into the trap of simply recording the same old same old. As usual there are plenty of helpings of crunchy rock and Andrew Stanton's lead guitar work is impressive throughout the proceedings. Lyrically the album shows plenty of maturity and Kevin Young's singing is particularly pleasing. Rockers like the title cut and the power of "Erase" will be crowd pleaders while the opener "First Love" is a fine scene setter. The more simplistic "God Is With Us" is obviously destined to be pitched at Christian radio and it comes with two extra mixes for lighter radio formats to help it on the way. "Come My Way" and "Empty Grave" have a brooding intensity, the latter a fitting, uplifting end to the album. Veteran producer Aaron Sprinkle has brought the best out in the band and Disciple fans won't be disappointed.
