There have been an abundance of Special Editions coming out over the past few years, Disciple add to that list with a revamped version of the nine squares rated 'Scars Remain'. After seeing what was added to this re-release, I was left a little disappointed. The additional track "Things Left Unsaid" is solid enough and perhaps might have fitted onto the original album quite nicely. There are also four acoustic remakes of songs from the original album, including "After The World", "My Hell", "Things Left Unsaid" and "Love Hate" but, in truth, they are quite average stripped down fare. There is nothing wrong with them, but there's nothing really new to make them standout. Normally, what makes a good re-release is a good quality DVD in addition to the album. However, all you are given are two music videos for the tracks "After The World" and "Scars Remain" which could easily be found on web sites like Youtube.com. As great as the album 'Scars Remain" is, this version adds little to it.
