Praise God for the programmable CD player! This latest live recording from the legendary Dorothy Norwood is a mixture of the excellent, the average and the downright abysmal. It is well produced, by Norwood herself, allowing you to hear most instruments individually. The opener and title track kicks in with Latin American vibes and defies you to sit still. This is aptly followed by the sincere, if a little repetitive "God Can" (nowhere near as good as the classic Staples rendition of a few years back). However, lengthy tracks like "No Storm" and "It's Praying Time" simply fail to get started and large doses of caffeine are required to stay awake to the end of them. My pick of the crop is "I Am What God Says" although what put the boot in for me was the tampering of Bill Withers' classic "Lean On Me". For Norwood fans only.
