The pastor of a cowboy church in Alaska returns with his second album. If you like the music of George Jones, Merle Haggard or Buck Owens this is for you. The opening title track is perhaps the heart and soul of Doug Briney, where he lays it out as to who he is and how he likes his music. I can imagine him going down a storm in some honkytonk bar room, a million miles away from where many gospel singers would dare to venture, and more power to his elbow! Other tracks like "I Get To", "Pretty Big Deal" and "Believe" all work well, but I wasn't so keen on "The Money The Gun And The Bible" as carrying a weapon as a Christian jars on me, but I accept others may disagree. Also, I'm not sure I agree with the theology of the last track, "Unknown Soldier". However, if you want new original material, go no further.
