Live worship from Aberdeen but it's a song by Russell 'Hillsongs' Fragar that opens up proceedings as Scotland's Souled Out event begins. The songs are an ubiquitous selection: Brenton Brown's "Holy Holy" and "Lord, Reign In Me", a bit of Tim Hughes ("Beautiful One") and a smattering of Hillsong (Fragar's "Praise Him You Heavens" and Marty Sampson's "Take It All"). Let's face it, these songs have appeared on a fair number of worship albums. The band and vocalists are excellent, but a couple of quibbles would be the lack of lyrics in the packaging (surely, a pre-requisite for a worship album?) and the band sometimes drowning out all sound of the congregation. For a lot of the time it sounds more like a studio album than a live recording. Things take a more interesting turn with contemporary versions of the classic hymns "All Creatures Of Our God And King" and "Take My Life". The title track is the best thing on the album - strident piano chords, chunky guitar and a stirring tune. Almost worth buying the album for this alone.
