Many's the mediocre musician who benefits from some costly recording equipment. In contrast, Dynamis manage to come across well, even on this home recording, mostly due to the powerful tones of vocalist Steve Harrison. The album, despite the opening track, a dreamy instrumental, is largely made up of strong rock ballads. The discordant melodies and emphasis on guitars bring in an indie flavour. Throughout, lyrics are uncompromising. "One World", a cry from the heart to end the abuse of God's creation, comes as a refreshing change amid more predictable Christian rock messages like "Tomorrow May Never Come". This kind of originality needs to continue if the band is to stand out from its peers. But the band shows potential and deserve to be let loose in a proper recording studio before too long.
