It's fresh, it's exciting and it's got an urban underground industrial sound. It's rapper EMC! There are some really excellent experiments with sound on this album, so if you're bored with the monotony of the old hip-hop groove then this is the album for you. Okay, the packaging isn't fantastic and the album cover looks as though it has been designed by your dad, but the music makes up for the bad taste alert. The album has a good, laid back, mellow, driving groove, which unfortunately is hindered by an element of American sentimental cheesy lyrics, but nevertheless the sound makes up for that. There is obvious major biblical input and thought behind the tracks, which shines through on occasions and gives a real praise feel to the whole project. EMC has obviously got real talent, which under the right direction and cultivation could see him looking at a major record deal. No major hit this time, but next time watch out!
