Reviewed by Mike Rimmer Best described as pop rock, with strongly driven acoustic guitar underpinning a lot of this. Since the album was recorded, Eddie has re-interpreted one song from this set, adding a poppier feel with loops etc, and "Name" works extremely well in that setting. This is classic American pop rock with an almost 70s feel to it, and Eddie writes songs that are unashamedly Christian but manages to refrain from clichés. These are songs where the message is central, and whether he's reminding us of the unrelenting love of Jesus with the parable of the lost sheep in the title cut, or getting all intimate with the touching ballad "Father, Friend", these songs have plenty to say. Strong, clear, clean vocals and a mixture of arrangements that allows for some jangly pop on "Thank God" and chunky, punch-the-air pop rock on the self-sacrificing prayer "On Your Altar". As for me, my two favourites, other than the aforementioned remix, have to be the insistent rhythmic pop of "Sleeping" and the closing rock'n'roll workout "Hallelujah". Eddie Morales has done an excellent job in creating music with a strong message and solid production, these are catchy songs that have something significant to say. With album and single thrown in together, this is a good deal!
