The 13 tracks on this CD reveal an impeccably produced album which gives each instrument a marvellous chance to breathe in a collection featuring nine original pieces of music and Celtic reworkings of songs by the likes of Tim Hughes and Samuel Lane. Some of modern Celtic music's usual suspects can be heard influencing this work, including passages reminiscent of The Corrs and "power Celtic merchants" Clannad. But there are a few moments which catch the ear with a sound it is not expecting to hear. "Breath And Presence" in particular shows obvious leanings towards mid-1970s Pink Floyd with its slow instrumental workout, as well as guitars and pipes that were recorded backwards. Singer Sarah Lacy Bird provides a haunting, almost hypnotic singing voice, which mostly backs off from the overdone vibrato many singers in this genre tends toward. With her five band-mates, Eden's Bridge provide a pleasant hour of music which can be either dwelt on for meditation, or just used as a break from the power ballads that occasionally dominate the modern worship scene.
