The Scots are not renowned as country singers (well not like the Irish are anyway) but Elaine offers a rather chirpy brand of country gospel. The sorta "cute" voice, simple, obvious lyrics and basic country plod might make some listeners feel rather, er...unwell, but that's country music's downfall really. Side 2 "God Is The Maker" has a more rocky edge which works well. In all, I would like to hear a full album with a decent budget from Elaine, this tape indicates someone who could really make a mark. I'll give this to one of the country music fans in H.M.Dartmoor, with the confidence that it will minister very acceptably.
